COURSE DESCRIPTION

Rapid Action Initiated Defence (RAID) is a uniquely different approach to modern self-defence and conflict management through advanced scientific research supported by core principles that have been pressure tested in the real world. The System has been designed by retired members of the UK Armed Forces, and provides the Personal Security & Defence Instructors (PSDI) qualification course.

By becoming an instructor at the level of PSDI, you will not only be licensed to deliver this unique system and its qualification at level 2 to men and women in your designated areas, but also have the ability to deliver sought after training courses to companies and businesses. So if you have ever thought about becoming a QNUK Licensed Personal Security & Defence Instructor (PSDI), or are looking to start a new career or supplement your income giving back to society invaluable skills in personal security and defence then this course might be for you.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Anyone can take this course that want to teach others the RAID philosophy and system to create a safer and more confident lifestyle. If you have existing experience such as Military, Security or Martial Arts then this will amplify your existing experience.

Aim and purpose of the course

The aim of the course is to take those that have gained the Level 2 RAID Self Defence, through an intensive 5 day package, that will enable them to not only learn how to deliver the QNUK Level 2 RAID Self Defence Course but also pass the assessment qualifying them as a licensed RAID instructor.

The qualifications required to become a Licensed PSDI, which you will learn on the course are as follows:

• Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) – this certifies you to teach and assess regulated qualifications
• Level 1 or 2 Mental Health First Aid – So you are aware of mental health and the results of workplace violence or physical attacks
• Level 2 Situational Awareness & Behavioural Detection Analysis – to aid in your behaviour detection
• Level 3 Deliverers of Conflict Management – so that you can deliver to businesses
• Level 3 Delivering Physical Intervention Training & Self defence – so that you can deliver to business or security
• Level 3 First Aid Trauma Casualty Care Emergency (FTACC-E) – this is a must for business

The following will be delivered on the course:

• Learn how to deliver learning to adults in accordance with the Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (Ptlls).
• Understand how to write and apply lesson plans to the RAID System.
• Understand the 1-2-3 of business and marketing.
• Learn how to deliver effective but safe scenario replications.
• Complete at least 6 teaching sessions.
• Truly understand the finite principals and concepts of the RAID Syllabus.

CERTIFICATION

Successful candidates will receive an Qualifications Network United Kingdom (QNUK) Regulated qualification (RQF) Award at Level 3 entitled “Self Defence Instruction” which is equivalent to an “A” Level. You will then sign the licensee agreement for the courses you will deliver (This means you will become a licensed instructor under RAID Defence Systems (TRISAT Ltd) and be able to deliver training to both individuals and businesses).

PRIOR QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

You will or should have completed the level 2 RAID Self defence program prior to be eligible to take this exam.
